About this report
Inspired by Thomas Paine’s rallying cry to a weary republic 250 years ago, The American Crisis report harnesses the expertise of scholars and practitioners across the United States to offer timely and essential analysis of the state of our union and emerging threats to our democracy.
The report examines the likelihood of electoral due process being thwarted, the disruption of constitutional government, escalated military and paramilitary occupations of U.S. cities, and emerging financial, health and climate threats that compound any electoral, constitutional, and military crisis.
Our objective is to alert society to clear and present dangers ahead and the urgent need to prepare accordingly.
